
Jim Rasenberger is the author of three books—The Brilliant Disaster, America 1908, and High Steel– and has contributed to The New York Times, Vanity Fair, Smithsonian, and Wilson Quarterly, among other publications. His work appears in New York Stories: Best of the City Section of the New York Times (ed. Constance Rosenblum), The New York Times Book of New York (ed. James Barron), and Portrait of America, Vol.II (ed. Stephen B. Oates). Rasenberger has also written for film and television, including a treatment of High Steel that was adapted as an ABC pilot (Empire State). A native of Washington, D.C., he lives in New York City with his wife and sons.
